Investigators are expected to approach officials at the Director of Public Prosecutions today for instructions on how to proceed against an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

Last Wednesday, the 58-year-old officer was taken in for questioning by officers of the Professional Standards Bureau.

The officer, who is currently attached to the Cumuto base was detained at his home in Tableland at about 8.30 am that day, and taken in for questioning by a team of officers led by Insp Subero and Insp Petty.

He was questioned at the Bureau’s office along Cipero Street, San Fernando, in the presence of his attorneys Renuka Rambhajan, Karina Singh, and Kiel Taklalsingh.

After a series of questions, in relations to allegations dating back to 2017, the ACP was allowed to leave.

However, at that time, Loop News was told that investigators reserve the right to detain the ACP should further evidence of information be made available.
