Eddie Koury murder trial begins
The murder trial for slain businessman Dr Eddie Koury is expected to begin on Monday at the Port of Spain Assizes.
Koury was abducted from his Tunapuna office on September 21, 2005. He was dragged into a waiting vehicle, and his headless corpse was found in central Trinidad two days later.
Since then, five men have been arrested for the killing, and have been charged with abduction, robbery, and murder.
The accused are Caleb Donaldson, Shawn James, Robert Franklin, Jerome Murray and Terry Moore.
The matter is before Justice Holdip at the Second Criminal Court at the Port of Spain Assizes.
The defence team consists of Pamela Elder, Daniel Khan, Wayne Sturge, Evans Welsh and Fareed Ali.
