Education Minister pays tribute to Carib Queen
Tributes are pouring in following the passing of Carib Queen Jennifer Cassar.
Education Minister Anthony Garcia, in a statement issued on Friday expressed his condolences to the Santa Rosa First Peoples Community on the passing of the Carib Queen.
The Education said as the First People mourn her loss so too do the people of Arima, adding that she was a symbol of strength, will and power within the community.
Garcia noted that Cassar was not only the Carib Queen but also heralded a career in the Public Service of Trinidad and Tobago and served the country for over forty years.
He added that she contributed to the development of the country through work in Education, Community Development, Culture, Sport, Health and the Judiciary.
Garcia said her life should be an example to those in and outside of the Carib community.
