Bandits break into Cost Cutters Supermarket

Police are investigating a report of a robbery at Cost Cutters Supermarket in El Dorado which took place on Monday morning.

According to police reports, a security guard who was on duty at the supermarket around 2.15 am was approached by a group of seven men, all unknown to him, wearing bandanas over their faces, long-sleeved clothing and hats.

Police were told that the bandits used a hammer to smash the glass door of the supermarket and forced the guard to enter the building with them.

Fearful for his life, the guard complied.

The men then left with what appeared to be a safe and fled the scene in a silver Nissan B13, heading East along the Eastern Main Road.

Investigations into the matter are continuing.
