Elderly man found dead, cops suspect foul play

An autopsy has been ordered to confirm what caused the death of an 86-year-old man.

The deceased was identified as Calvin Glasgow of Iris Lane, Southern Main Road, Curepe.

According to police reports, at about 2pm yesterday, police received a call that the body of the older man was found in the backyard of his home.

There appeared to be injuries to his head and chest, and part of his body had burn marks.

His house, police said, also appeared to be ransacked. As a result, police suspect that Glasgow may have been killed during a robbery.

However, an autopsy was ordered to confirm what caused the death.
