Engineer, business owners held for drunk driving

The public is once again being advised to adhere to the rules and regulations of this country’s roadways after three persons – including a business owner and the managing director of a prominent accounting firm – were all charged with driving under the influence of alcohol..

The three, a 38-year-old fuel engineer attached to an international oil company, a 44-year-old woman, who is said to be the owner of a contracting services company located in Central Trinidad, and a 54-year-old man, said to be a managing director at a well-known accounting company which operates out of Port of Spain, were all arrested on Wednesday night.

The three were held during a police exercise which took place Wednesday night in Woodbrook.

The exercise was supervised by Snr Sup Basdeo, with assistance from Inspector Commissiong, Sgt Bharrath, Cpl Maharaj, PC Simmons, and WPC Wickham, among several others.

Out of 91 persons tested Wednesday night, only these three persons were found to be over the legal limit.
