Digital technologies impacting businesses today are rapidly expanding to create new employee and customer experiences, fundamentally changing how organisations work, interact and compete.

To this end, Ernst & Young (EY) Trinidad and Tobago launched their Digital Transformation services earlier this month, a partnership with EY’s business transformation hub in Costa Rica, in a bid to encourage more organisations to leverage digital technology in their business.

Speaking at the June 12 launch, EY Senior Partner Hema Narinesingh said that in light of evolving technologies, companies have to adapt and they need a business strategy to operate in the digital world.

“In the Caribbean, we will undoubtedly integrate digital technologies into our business models: how, when and where are questions that all of us need to address. Today EY stands at the forefront of this move in the Caribbean and in the Americas and we want to participate in this journey with you,” she said.

EY showcased three digital stations at the launch – an Intelligent Automation Space, Blockchain and Data Analytics, as a preview to the digital strategies they plan to offer to their local partners. Speaking of these technologies were representatives of EY’s Intelligent Automated Business Space: Executive Director, Fernando Alvarado and Senior Manager, Oscar Marin. Both are based in Costa Rica at EY's business transformation hub.
