The North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) is advising the public that the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) will be conducting preventative maintenance on an emergency generator this weekend.
That’s according to a statement issued on Friday.
The works is expected to take place on Saturday between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm.
The NCRHA said the exercise will improve the reliability of the contingency generators at the EWMSC and is not expected to affect the hospital’s normal operations.
“All contingency plans have been put in place to ensure that these critical activities do not adversely affect the work of the facility or impact on our responsibility to deliver excellent service to our patients,” the NCRHA stated.
The scheme of work will be managed by the Authority’s Incident Response Team.
