Family pleads for help after fruit stall destroyed by fire
In the photos shared online, a family stands in front of a pile of burnt debris, all that is now left of their fruit stall.
René Nanan shared the photos to social media on July 23 after the family's stall at Bamboo Settlement #1 was destroyed by fire earlier this month.
Fruit vendors Shabana Singh, her husband Vishal Singh and their four children are now left without their livelihood.
Nanan sent a public plea via social media to help the family rebuild their fruit stall as well as the children's school books and food supplies which were also destroyed in the fire.
"This morning this family woke up to the news that their only source of income was burnt to the ground. Inside- all the children's books, their stove, groceries and goods for sale."
"I am appealing to anyone who is willing to help! The smallest amount will go a long way. Funds will be used to buy school supplies, groceries and to help rebuild the stall."
Anyone able to help is urged to call Nanan on 767-3893.
