Farmer chopped in Tobago

Tobago police are investigating a report where a 21-year-old farmer was attacked by his 37-year-old neighbour with a cutlass.

The farmer is currently warded in a serious but stable condition at the Scarborough General Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.

The suspect has since been arrested and is aiding police as they investigate this matter and what led to the attack.

The incident allegedly took place at about 12.01am  on Friday at Patience Hill, Tobago.

The two men got into an argument and attacked one another.

The 37-year-old, armed with a cutlass, allegedly struck the younger man to his neck and hands.

An alarm was raised and the police and paramedics were notified.

The injured man was rushed for medical treatment and the assailant was detained.
