Both men were due to appear before the Sangre Grande Magistrates’ Court on Monday to answer to these charges.

Both men, who resided at Duranta Gardens, Sangre Grande, were arrested and charged by officers of Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department (CID), after the incident which took place on December 6, 2018.

Police were told that around 9:50 am that day, the 50-year-old victim was at home when he saw someone known to him standing in his doorway, pointing a shotgun at him.

The victim said he was fearful for his life and held on to the barrel of the gun, and a struggle ensued.
