Feel D’Music: Digicel launches updated music streaming app
The D’Music app just got a new makeover as part of Digicel’s digital journey. D’Music is available across the Caribbean and Central America, focusing on local and regional content and offering more than 40 million tracks from top musicians around the world.
“We’re on a journey to become a digital lifestyle partner for our customers, which means giving them with what they want, simply and digitally. Our updated D’Music app provides customers with easy access to the kind of musical content they want – from their favourite local artistes to the hottest top 40 tracks, making it the Caribbean’s sickest music app,” said Aileen Corrigan, Chief Digital Officer at Digicel.
With the revamped D’Music app, Digicel has made music simple by allowing users to easily access their favourite tunes, all in one place. In addition to the updated look, this revamp comes with a new, intuitive user interface; faster music loading time; dark mode and offline access, which all make finding old favourites and discovering new music even easier. Another cool feature is that users can easily activate affordable plans (on average 20 per cent lower than other streaming apps), without using a credit card, through the My Digicel app.
“Music is a big part of any culture, and across our markets in the Caribbean and Central America we have so many indigenous musical genres that don’t get the attention they deserve on international streaming platforms. With D’Music we want to not only provide the top international hits, but also highlight dancehall, reggae, soca, calypso, zouk and the other sounds of our region,” continued Corrigan.
Over the years, the Digicel brand has become strongly associated with entertainment through various event sponsorships and partnerships with musical influencers like Soca King, Machel Montano and 2016 Red Bull 3Style World Champion, DJ Puffy, and this association is only further strengthened with the relaunch of the D’Music app.
