Female victim in killing of couple identified
Police believe they have the identities for the couple who were killed along Pashley Street, Laventille, on Easter Monday.
Relatives of the female victim visited officials at the Homicide Bureau on Tuesday night and gave the woman's identity. However, as part of the official process, the relatives were also scheduled to visit the Forensic Science Center in St James on Wednesday to view the body to positively confirm her identification.
Relatives for the man had yet to contact the police to confirm his identity.
However, based on documents associated with the vehicle, it is suspected that the man is from the Bagatelle, Diego Martin Community.
The name police found was “Peter James” and officers are asking for the public’s assistance to locate the relatives of the deceased.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Besson Street Police Station or the Homicide Bureau.
Persons can also give the information to any police station nearest to them, or give the information anonymously through 555 or 800-TIPS.
The couple were found dead around 12.30 am on Monday along Pashley Street, Laventille.
The man was found lying on the roadway near a crashed car, while the woman’s body was found hanging out of a window near the driver’s side of the vehicle.
