Female victim pushes COVID-19 deaths to 106

One more person has succumbed to the novel coronavirus in Trinidad and Tobago, taking the cumulative number of fatalities to 106.

According to the Ministry of Health, the latest victim is a female with pre-existing medical conditions. 

Furthermore, 24 people have newly tested positive for COVID-19 while two patients have been discharged from public health facilities.

There have also been 39 recovered community cases. The total number of recoveries now stands at 4,126.

To date, 5,535 individuals have contracted the viral respiratory illness locally, of which 1,303 are active, from 32,319 tested individuals. 

Meanwhile, 62 patients are hospitalised, 38 are in step-down facilities, 268 in state quarantine and 1,203 in self-isolation.
