Fete Watch: C'est La Vie scales down, moves to town
In this week's Fete Watch, we look at big changes for a popular Carnival Thursday fete: C'est La Vie.
C'est La Vie, which is usually held on the North Coast Road, will be coming to town in 2019.
The Carnival Thursday fete, which was held at Pier Once, Chaguaramas, last year due to landslides on the North Coast Road, will now be held at Veronique's in St Clair.
The event will also be scaled down to accommodate only 400 patrons and is being billed as an Ultra-exclusive affair.
Matthew Dasent, promoter of C'est La Vie said the changes are in keeping with patrons' desires.
"We’ve listened to the core clientele and we have gone back to our “roots”: smaller, more convenient, more intimate crowd and venue, as well as cost to the customer," he said.
The price of the fete is $650, the original price when it was started eight years ago.
"We have priced the 2019 edition at the original price we started at in 2012 while maintaining a fabulous venue and premium offerings - everyone wins!" said Dasent.
Tickets for C'est La Vie will go on sale on January 14 and can be ordered via www.ticketbanton.com. The performance line up will be unveiled on that day.
