Fete Watch: PREStige to debut a Fete within a Fete

The Presentation College, San Fernando annual all-inclusive Carnival fete PREStige will take on a festival theme this year.

A press release about the fete, which has become the premiere all-inclusive event in the Southland, it was revealed that guests will travel through two food courts of cultures and festivals as their taste buds experience exotic dishes with names such Fourth of July, The Chinese Lantern Festival, Venice Carnivale and other cuisines around the globe.

Guests can also look forward to an exciting bar experience where premium drinks and handcrafted cocktails will be paired with various activations.

“The Festival experience will begin even before you enter the fete as patrons will enter through the Vibes Courtyard area designed to capture the perfect prelude to The Festival. The event organisers have introduced a brand new and spacious entrance that will be open an hour before fete time.  Gone are the days of waiting in spiritless lines too far from the speaker box. This year patrons can look forward to a fete within a fete,” the release said.

PREStige has become known for its services to patrons and this year will be no different as pampering stations will be fully stocked with beauty essentials and with a variety of touch up services.

Performances for the night will be by Kes the Band, Dil E Nadan, Patrice Roberts, Voice and Preedy. DJs Nuphoric, Ana and Ultra Simmo will be among those on the cast.

Chairman of The Prestige Past Students Foundation, Steven Samlalsingh, is tight-lipped regarding other artistes on the lineup but he did say the experience will be like no other.

PREStige – The Festival was officially launched on Tuesday night but engagement with patrons began long before with the first Golden Ticket giveaway in collaboration with C3 Centre.

The winner of the Golden Ticket will be gifted with a pair of PREStige – The Festival Tickets, executive transport to and from the event for themselves and six friends courtesy inclusive of complimentary champagne and clothing, makeup and men’s care vouchers courtesy participating sponsors. Winners and their guests will be hosted on the PREStige hospitality platform and will gain access to the backstage area, where they can meet with their favourite artistes.

Since its inception in 2011, PREStige has raised close to four million dollars for Presentation College which has been used to facilitate multiple school projects including new structures, repairs and sporting facility refurbishment.
