Fisherman drowns in Tobago

A fisherman is dead after falling into the waters of the Atlantic Ocean on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Ellis Noray of Runnemede, Tobago.

Police said around 6.00 am they received a report that a man who went fishing at King Peter’s Bay had fallen into the seas, and had failed to resurface.

An alarm was raised and officials were notified.

His body eventually resurfaced during the morning and it was brought to shore.

However, Noray was unresponsive.

He was later pronounced dead by a district medical officer.
