Fisherman's home shot up

Police are questioning why the home of an Erin fisherman was shot at.

On Thursday, police received information from the victim, a 34-year-old man from Erin Beach Road in St Francois Village that his home had come under fire by two unknown assailants on Wednesday night.

According to his statement, around 11 pm, a female relative was home and heard several loud explosions.

Upon investigating, she saw two men dressed in dark clothing flee the scene in a waiting vehicle.

The police were notified, and a team of officers led by Sgt Gosine and Cpl Harripersad, visited the scene.

Two spent shells, which appeared to be 9mm casings, were found on the scene.

No injuries were reported.
