Five charged after Sangre Grande robbery

Following a robbery in Sangre Grande on Friday night, four men and one woman, have been charged.

The four men are said to be aged 32, 26, 22, and 20.

Three of the men are from Diego Martin, while one man is said to be from St Margaret’s Village.

The woman, police said, is from Damarie Hill, Sangre Grande.

The incident took place around 7.00 pm on Friday at Darmarie Hill, Sangre Grande.

Police received a report of a robbery in progress, and officers from the Eastern Division’s Special Operations Unit, led by Cpl Ramnarine, responded.

Within minutes the officers were on the scene, aided by officers from the Eastern Division Task Force and the Sangre Grande police station.

The officers were able to intercept the suspects and recover the stolen items as they tried to escape.

The five, police said are also wanted in the Port of Spain, Northern Division, and Southern Divisions, for reports of similar natures.
