Five held for drunk driving in Port of Spain

Five persons, including a personal consultant and two General Contractors, were held on Friday night for driving under the influence.

The highest reading given by one of the detained persons was 83 microgrammes.

The legal limit in this country is 35.

The five were held during police exercises by officers of the Port of Spain Division which begun at 8pm on Friday and ended at 3am on Saturday.

They were coordinated by Snr Sup Ramdeen and Sup Rampath, and included ASP Sooker, Insp Deonarine, Sgt Bharath, Cpl Arthur, Cpl Ramchaitar, PC Orr, PC Nanan and WPC Rose.
