Five Venezuelan females between the ages of 18 years to 34 years were detained during anti-crime exercises conducted at the Scarborough Port, Tobago on Friday.
A 39-year-old Maraval man who was in the company of the five Venezuelan females was also detained.
The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service in a statement on Saturday said the Immigration Division is presently preparing detention orders.
It also added that during an anti-crime exercise on Friday a house at Ridgewood Towers, Diego Martin was searched and two Venezuelan nationals were arrested after failing to produce valid documentation.
A search warrant was also executed at a home at Dolphins Court, West Moorings, where three Venezuelan nationals were also taken into custody after failing to produce valid documentation.
