We’re extremely thrilled to announce that our very own Chef Kyronn Cordner will be featured on the hit @foodnetwork show #CHOPPED next Tuesday (Sep. 29) at 8 PM - the very same night he steps into his role as Mako’s executive chef! Ky’s past work includes the position of Chef de Cuisine at Chef Einat Admony’s famous Balaboosta in NYC, amongst others, and you may have already noticed his well-honed Mediterranean flair making its way into a number of our recipes. Join us on Tuesday at 8 on the patio as we have a Watch & Welcome Party featuring a special prix-fixe menu for the evening: • @spicedbyky Coffee Mushroom Crusted 44 Farms Tri-Tip • “Better” Bouillabaisse w/ Redfish, Scallops, & Little Neck Clams • Chocolate Covered Baklava & Baklava Ice Cream As Ky takes over the kitchen, we give our utmost thanks & appreciation to Chef Guillermo Mendez for his leadership during the last several months, to include his crucial work in our navigating the COVID crisis. “Memo” has been a constant source of compassion and dedication, and has consistently continued to elevate our cuisine through his tenure here. We wish him only the best, and while we are sad to see him go, we are excited for all those lucky folks in Chicago who will get to experience his creations.
