Four foreign nationals detained in Cunupia

Four foreign nationals of Asian descent were detained during a police exercise in Cunupia.

Four hard-drives, two log books, and a series of other evidential materials were seized during the exercise and the foreign nationals are currently in the custody of immigration officials.

The four, according to police reports were arrested during a joint police exercise by officers of the Port of Spain Division and the Central Division between midday and 7pm on Monday.

The exercise was coordinated by Senior Supt Daniel, who was aided by Inspector Lopez, Inspector Narcis, Sgt St Clair, Cpl Ramlogan along with several others.

A search warrant was executed at the premises of a company along Warren Road, Cunupia, where the four were at the time. 

After a series of searches, the four were unable to produce documents to confirm their presence in this country legally, and they were handed over to immigration officials.
