Four killed in Rancho Quemado identified
The four men who were fatally shot at Rancho Quemado Village yesterday afternoon have been identified.
The victims are Antonio Alexander, 28, of Springvale, Claxton Bay; his brother, Shaquille Dottin, 22, of Rancho Quemado; their cousin Jabari Taylor, of Palo Seco; and 17-year-old Alifia Augustine.
According to police reports, at about 6pm yesterday residents heard several loud explosions and observed a vehicle speeding away.
Upon making checks, a Nissan AD Wagon was observed near the Rancho Quemado Primary School.
Four occupants of the car had been shot multiple times.
The three relatives died on the scene, while Augustine was rushed for medical treatment. He died while undergoing emergency treatment.
Police said that automatic weapons were used in this incident, noting the wounds were so serious that an arm of one of the victims had almost been shot off.
A Nissan Wingroad was found burnt at Johnson Trace, Rancho Quemado. Police believe it was the vehicle used by the killers in the attack.
Investigations into this incident are continuing.
