Four men are currently in police custody after they allegedly broke into the home of a 33-year-old woman.
The incident took place at a home along Upper Cumuto Main Road, Cumuto.
The victim secured her home on Thursday morning, but upon returning two hours later, she discovered that it had been ransacked and that $15,000 in cash along with $10,000 in jewellery and $500 in liquor were missing.
A report was made to the police and a team of officers led by Cpl Gordon responded.
The officers received intelligence which led them to a home in Cumuto, where they held four men between the ages of 21 and 45.
One of the men, police said, was from Upper St Francois Valley Road, Belmont, one from La Mango Road, Maracas St Joseph, and another from Morne Coco Road in Maraval.
The fourth man was from St Martin Emanuel Road, Cumuto.
They are all to be questioned and brought before a Sangre Grande Magistrate next week.
