Funeral held for magistrate's slain sister, investigations ongoing
55-year-old Carla Quamina was due to be laid to rest on Thursday even as investigations continued into her killing.
Quamina, the sister of Magistrate Carl Quamina, was shot dead on Friday night.
Her bullet-riddled body was found at about 11:00 on July 27 in the living room of her home along Sellier Street, Sangre Grande.
From initial inquiries, Carla Quamina, LoopTT was told, is not believed to have been the target of the killers.
Her funeral was due to take place on Thursday at 2:00 pm at the St James the Just Anglican Church, Adolphus Cox Street, Sangre Grande.
She was then expected to be laid to rest at the Foster Road Public Cemetery, Sangre Grande.
No suspect had been held for this incident up to Thursday morning.
