Garcia vex with CXC over delay in release of CSEC results
Education Minister Anthony Garcia is upset with the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC).
Results of the May/June Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE) have been received by the Education Ministry, however, Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) results are yet to arrive.
Garcia confirmed receipt of the CAPE results, but there has been no word from CXC on when CSEC results would arrive.
Speaking with LoopTT, Garcia expressed his frustration over the situation.
“CXC has not given us any information as to when those results will come out. That is one of the things I am upset with CXC about.”
The Supervisor of Exams has been instructed to contact CXC to find out when these results would be made available to the Ministry.
Garcia acknowledged that students are anxiously awaiting these results to determine their next move as some of these students are awaiting formal acceptance at regional institutions.
CAPE results are expected to be released by the Ministry later this week. Results of CAPE and CSEC examinations are expected to be made available online and on the CXC Connect mobile app on Friday.
