Gary, Supermarket Association discuss security for Christmas

The Executive of the Police Service (TTPS), led by Police Commissioner Gary Griffith, met with the board of the Supermarket Association (SATT) on Wednesday.

This meeting took place at the WITCO Boardroom.

Commissioner Griffith, DCP of Operations Deodath Dulalchan, acting Senior Superintendent Lindon Greenidge of the Fraud Squad and Superintendent of the Municipal Police, Erica Prieto were present.

The discussions were regarding several matters of mutual interest.

The TTPS executives discussed the availability of officers for extra-duty as well as the implementation of strategic security measures for the upcoming Christmas season.

Commissioner Griffith and his team also discussed issues of white-collar crime, illegal vending and the firearm user’s license.

The Supermarket Association expressed a desire to work with the Police Service and the Commissioner to promote safer spaces toward encouraging greater social and economic stability within Trinidad and Tobago
