Gas station attendant beaten, robbed by bandits

Northern Division police are said to be searching for five men who reportedly robbed a gas station attendant in Valsayn.

The incident was said to have taken place at about 1:00 pm on Saturday at the Valpark Gas Station.

According to reports, the victim was working at the gas station off the Churchill Roosevelt Highway when a Nissan Tiida motor vehicle drove into the compound.

Five men alighted from the car and, armed with cutlasses, proceeded to beat the attendant about the body, before robbing him of a quantity of cash.

During the incident, the attendant managed to flee to the Valpark shopping plaza, while other attendants in the station locked themselves inside a room on the compound.

The assailants then made good their escape.
