Gasparillo man held for breaking into McDonald's safe

San Fernando Police have detained a Gasparillo man in connection with breaking into a safe at the Gulf City Mall branch of McDonald’s.

The 24-year-old suspect, an electrician was arrested on Monday afternoon following the execution of a search warrant at his Harmony Hall home.

He is accused of breaking into a safe at the fast food outlet and stealing a quantity of cash.

The incident is believed to have taken place sometime between 8:30 pm last Sunday and 9:05 am on Monday.

A report was made at the San Fernando Police Station when McDonald’s employees returned to open the branch for business on Monday and discovered that the safe had been broken into.

Cpl Rawle Burke and PC Shivon Ghingoree, both of the San Fernando CID, are continuing investigations.
