Gasparillo man sent to St Ann's for stealing from wife
A 52-year-old man was sent to the St Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital for evaluation after he appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate.
The accused was identified as Andrew Clarke of Gasparillo.
He was charged with larceny.
PC Seepersad was the complainant (charging officer) in this matter.
Clarke appeared before Magistrate Cherril Ann Antoine.
The court was told that on Monday, Clarke went to the home of his estranged wife at Harmony Hall, Gasparillo, and stole a $1,200 BMX bike and a pair of jeans, which were for his teenaged son.
A report was made to Gasparillo police, and an investigation was launched which led to the arrest of Clarke.
After submissions were made in the court, a decision was made for Clarke to be sent for evaluation at the psychiatric hospital.
The matter was then adjourned to September 11, 2018.
More on this as it becomes available.
