She took the opportunity to appraise London of priority areas in bilateral trade, business and investment with the UK as well as opportunities within the commonwealth.
Davidson-Celestine was also sensitized on the trading relationship between Trinidad and Tobago, Costa Rica and other Central American countries.
Minister Gopee-Scoon said “as Trinidad and Tobago seeks to increase its trading relationship with Central America, the Costa Rican Market, consisting of over four (4) million people, provides a host of opportunities for Trinidad and Tobago’s exporters. The CARICOM- Costa Rica Free Trade Agreement also provides for free trade or preferential access for a wide range of goods”.
London, during the meeting, reiterated his commitment to portraying Trinidad and Tobago as a destination for investment and a partner in the trade in goods and services.
