Gov’t announces cabinet reshuffle: PM new Planning Minister
Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley has announced a few changes to his cabinet slate which will take effect on New Year’s Day.
Early on Tuesday morning, Dr Rowley announced that the portfolios of Cherrie-Ann Crichlow-Cockburn, Camille Robinson-Regis, Adrian Leonce and Foster Cummings would be changing.
The most significant change is that Camille Robinson Regis has had her appointment as Minister of Planning and Development revoked. The Prime Minister will be taking up her responsibilities there as she is reassigned as Minister of Social Development and Family Services.
Cherrie-Ann Crichlow-Cockburn who held the Social Development portfolio will now serve as the Minister in the Ministry of Planning and Development.
Government has also announced that Adrian Leonce will no longer serve as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Public Utilities, he will now take up the same role in the Ministry of Works and Transport.
Foster Cummings has been appointed as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government.
