Grande teen to appear in court for stealing from secondary school

A 16-year-old boy was expected to appear before the Port of Spain Juvenile Court on Wednesday, after being charged with school breaking and larceny.

The minor was arrested by officers of the Sangre Grande Criminal Investigations Department (CID), on Monday, following investigations into break-ins at the St Andrew’s Regional Life Centre which occurred between October 18 and 22.

Two Dewalt grinders and one Dewalt drill were also found to be missing.

A report was made to the Sangre Grande Police Station. The teen, who is a student of the school, was arrested during an anti-crime exercise in the Sangre Grande area.

Charges were laid by PC Amann of the Sangre Grande CID on Tuesday.
