Grenada: Farmer charged with teen's murder

A farmer in Grenada has been charged with non-capital murder in connection with the fatal shooting of a teenage girl.

The accused, 30-year-old Keiron Chitan, of Upper St John’s St Andrew, will appear before a Magistrate on Friday.

It is alleged he intentionally caused the death of 16 year-old Lenisha Stafford, by unlawful harm.

An autopsy report revealed the teenager, who was discovered last Sunday at the home of the accused, died from injuries sustained as a result of a gunshot wound to the forehead.
