Griffith meets with Caroni Central MP, constituents
Police Commissioner Gary Griffith met with Caroni Central MP Dr Bhoendradatt Tewarie and over 150 constituents at his Constituency Office in Freeport on Tuesday.
The meeting formed part of ongoing transformational efforts by the Commissioner to strengthen stakeholder partnerships and community engagement with all MPs across all 41 constituencies within the nine policing divisions of the Police Service (TTPS).
During the meeting, Commissioner Griffith listened to the policing concerns and crime-fighting suggestions of the constituents and responded, by revealing several crime initiatives and strategies which will be beneficial to the constituents of Caroni Central.
Commissioner Griffith asked attendees to use 482-GARY to send him information, as issues pertaining to crime were raised.
Dr Tewarie expressed his gratitude that the Commissioner met with his constituency and said he looked forward to continue working with the TTPS to keep Caroni Central safe and secure.
Also in attendance at the meeting were the Councillor for Caparo, John Lezama; Deputy Commissioner of Police, Deodat Dulalchan; members the Caroni Central Constituency Executive; members of the business community and vendors.
Commissioner Griffith says he will continue to make himself available to these stakeholder meetings with other MPs and their constituents in the coming weeks.
