Griffith tight lipped on whether police are suspects in kidnapping

Who are the individuals responsible for the kidnapping of 47-year-old Natalie Pollonais?

Social media has been abuzz with news that three officers attached to the Southern Division were taken into custody in relation to the crime.

Images and names of two of the individuals have been shared via Facebook and WhatsApp.

Loop TT reached out to Police Commissioner Gary Griffith who maintained that he will not reveal sensitive information about the case before it is completed.

“I definitely would not make any comment pertaining to a matter that is presently still being investigated. This body has not yet been ended. What I am doing now is ensuring that each and every person, regardless of who that person is and where they work, I am going to find them and I am going to dig deep. Some persons have been held, there may be others but I am not going to give any information until the matter is completed”

What do we know?

Natalie Pollonais was abducted around 10:30 am on September 6 after she visited the C3 Centre Gym.

Her vehicle was found abandoned at Cypress Hills, Union Hall, San Fernando around 10 pm on the said date.

A relative told Loop TT that there was reason to believe that Pollonais was kidnapped by individuals posing to be plainclothes police officers.

The mother of three was extracted by police at a location that is yet to be revealed, around 7 pm on September 10.

She is married to the director of Indland and Offshore Contractor Ltd, Jason Pollonais.
