Two men were arrested and two firearms, ammunition and marijuana seized by officers of the Northern Division Task Force during anti-crime exercises in the Northern Division on Monday.
According to a report from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), officers were conducting an exercise in an area East of the Northern Division between 10:00 pm on Sunday, July 9 and 3:00 am on Monday, July 10, 2017.
The exercises resulted in a 20-year-old man being arrested, for being in possession of a revolver with four rounds of .38 ammunition.
The officers then proceeded to San Raphael, where they conducted a similar exercise between 2:30 pm and 5:00 pm,
Officers arrested a 32-year-old man of Gomez Extension, Brazil Village who was allegedly found to be in possession of a pistol loaded with a magazine containing six rounds of 9mm ammunition as well as 90 grammes of marijuana.
