Gyro vendor shot dead in Tobago

A 30-year-old gyro vendor who was shot in the head during a robbery in Tobago, has died.

Elias Dabbourah succumbed to his injuries at the Scarborough General Hospital on Saturday.

According to reports, Dabbourah was shot in the head by masked bandits during an attempted robbery around 4 am on Monday, near Republic Bank in Crown Point.

He was rushed to hospital and put on life support.

However, Dabbourah succumbed to his injuries around 11:30am yesterday.

Police say a suspect is in custody in connection with the killing.
