Haagen Daz launches dairy free ice cream
If you are not eating dairy or just lactose intolerant, Haagen Daz just made your ice- cream choices easier.
The company has launched a non-dairy option which they promise is creamier in texture than other options. The key is what the brand uses at is core.
"At Häagen-Dazs, we believe there’s no room for compromise. So while most non-dairy options simply start by substituting soy, almond or cashew milk, every flavour in our new collection begins with a core ingredient, like real pieces of Belgian chocolate, actual peanut butter, or real coconut cream. The result? Indulgent non-dairy flavours with a creamier texture and an authentic taste that shines through," the company said.
The options come in four flavours: chocolate salted fudge truffle, peanut butter chocolate fudge, mocha chocolate cookie and coconut caramel.
Haagen Daz joins Ben & Jerrys who quietly launched two non-dairy flavours last year: Cherry Garcia and Coconut Seven Layer Bar and Breyer's which launched its cookies and cream ice cream made from almond milk.
Caribbean ice cream lovers may have to wait a long time to see Haagen Daz new options on local shelves as it is currently only available in the United States at Target stores.
