Nakisha Murray showed that a little bit of kindness goes a long way after giving free haircuts to homeless people in Tamarind Square, Port of Spain, over the weekend.

Murray, who runs her own salon, showed before and after photos of the men who received haircuts through her kind actions.

She said in a Facebook post on Monday that anyone who wishes to donate or help can contact her for more information on 370-1695.

"Yesterday has turned out to be such a blessing to the people of Tamarind Square. Two Barbers contacted me they would like to join me on Sunday where I will return to Tambrand Square to Trim to Homeless," she said.

She added that although she and the barbers will be using their own tools, citizens can help with other supplies such as razor blades, combs, tissue paper, duster brushes, sterilising agents, paper towels, capes, rubbing alcohol, methylated spirits, machine oil, spray bottles, baby powder, and bottled water.

She said additionally folding chairs would also be appreciated.

"The Homeless people of Tamarind Square are in need of homes so I think this is a call to the Government to find out how best they can assist them," she said.

They are also accepting clothing such as t-shirts, men's jeans, underwear and towels.

"Let shows these people on Sunday that we care...this is your opportunity to make a difference in some homeless person's life," she said.

Anyone wishing to help can contact her on 370-1695 before Saturday, August 19, 2017.
