The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has continued with the removal of structures in violation of its homeowners' rules.

Wednesday's exercise in Couva follows similar action last week, which saw the HDC demolishing several illegal structures at Orupune Gardens, Piarco.

The HDC said two illegal structures located at one of its housing communities in Couva were removed following due process, with the assistance of the TT Police Service.

The exercise is part of an ongoing structured programme to treat with illegal occupancy, trespassing and homeowners’ breaches, inclusive of illegal structures.

The HDC again stressed that those who are in breach of the homeowner’s rules should immediately treat with the situation before it is left with no choice but to resort to its final position of demolition and/ or eviction.
