Motorists are advised to limit their use of the North Coast Road in light of two landslips near the Maracas Lookout and one mile further east.

A fallen tree is also blocking the roadway.

The land slippage followed heavy rains in north western Trinidad.

The Ministry of Works and Transport has advised that entering the North Coast Road is limited to local traffic (residents in the area) until further notice.

Residents and visitors in the area are asked to proceed with caution and to expect traffic delays.

The Ministry is says an operator has been mobilised to clear the roadway and single lane traffic is expected at the site of the landslips.
