Heavy traffic after multiple highway smash-ups Loop News Created : 5 October 2017 T&T News Commuters encountered heavy traffic on Thursday morning along the Churchill Roosevelt Highway after two road accidents involving multiple cars resulted in the roadways being blocked for some time. While information is still coming in up to 11:00 am, both accidents were said to have taken place just after 6:00 am on Thursday. Thankfully, there was no loss of life or serious injuries reported in either incident. The accidents both took place on the westbound lanes of the highway in the vicinities of Macoya and Barataria. In one accident, three vehicles were involved, which resulted in one of the cars even flipping and landing on its side. All persons involved in these accidents are said to be receiving medical attention. More on this as it becomes available.
