Individuals taking money in exchange for Heritage Petroleum jobs

The Heritage Petroleum Company Limited says individuals and their organizations are hosting fake recruitment orientations and falsely promising employment at the company.

In a statement on Thursday, the company said these individuals are also using the names and contact information of bonafide Heritage employees to solicit large sums of money from unsuspecting job-seekers.

“Heritage Petroleum Company Limited takes this matter very seriously and wishes to advise the public that no one is authorized to accept or request funds for employment at Heritage Petroleum Company Limited.”

Heritage Petroleum advised that employees and recruiters will not request cash or benefits from any third party in connection with job prospects during the recruitment process.

“The persons conducting these false recruitment orientations are neither affiliated with nor authorized to act on behalf of Heritage Petroleum Company Limited. The matter has been referred to the Trinidad & Tobago Police Service and Fraud Squad.”
