An elderly man has been voluntarily relocated to a temporary shelter from living on the streets of Port-of-Spain.

The Ministry of Social Development and Family Services (MSDFS) said this was made possible through the combined efforts of the Port of Spain City Corporation, the Social Displacement Unit of the Ministry and a concerned citizen who requested assistance for him.

The MSDFS added that the man will be evaluated to determine what further assistance is required for his long term care and accommodation as part of the continuum of care established for street dwellers in Trinidad and Tobago.
