Homeless woman in court after throwing bottles at van
A socially displaced woman was due to appear in court after she allegedly threw glass bottles at a vehicle in Penal.
According to a statement issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), 34-year-old Shelly-Ann Mohammed, of no fixed address, was accused of throwing glass bottles at a Ford Ranger van which was parked along SS Erin Road, Penal, on November 5, 2018 around 9:15 am.
The female van driver was allegedly approached by Mohammed, who began cursing at her. An argument ensued during which the damage to the vehicle was said to have occurred.
Mohammed was also charged with using obscene language towards officers of the Penal Police Station when they arrived at the scene.
The damage has an estimated value of TT$2300.00.
Charges were laid by PC Nanan, of the Penal Criminal Investigations Department.
