Hours after murder, three shot in Carenage

Western Division police are searching for a Carenage man who allegedly walked up to three friends and shot them all.

The incident took place at L’Anse Mitan Road, Carenage, just three hours after Ronald Paul was shot dead on Friday night.

Police were told that around 11.30 pm, the victims, aged 33, 35, and 38, were all liming near their home when they were approached by a man they knew.

The suspect pulled out a firearm and, without warning, shot at the group before fleeing the scene on foot.

All three men were shot.

The 35-year-old was shot in his left calf, while the 38-year-old suffered the most serious injuries - he was shot twice in his abdomen.

The injured men were all rushed to the Port of Spain General Hospital, and remain warded up to Saturday morning.

CSI officials recovered six spent 9mm shells on the scene.
