Human resource manager robbed of $20k in cash
A 44-year-old woman was robbed of over $20,000 in cash and valuables Monday morning in Arima.
According to police reports, around 8:30 am, the victim, said to be a human resource manager, had just collected $20,000 cash from Flame Express Limited located on the compound of Xtra Foods at the corner of O’Meara Road and O’Connor Drive, Arima.
The cash, police were told, represented the prior days’ sales.
The 44-year-old woman was walking up the stairs to her office when she was confronted by a man.
The assailant was described as a man of African descent, low haircut, slim built, approximately 5 ft. 2 inches tall, brown in complexion and clad in a black long sleeve shirt and black long jeans.
The man walked up to the victim and said “give meh the money”.
The victim became fearful for her life and was relieved of her handbag containing the cash, her identification card, driver’s permit, a Huawei cell phone, and other personal documents.
The assailant then got into a car and escaped by heading south along O’Meara Road.
Anyone with information which could lead to the arrest of the suspect is asked to contact the Arima Police, or can give the information anonymously through 555 or 800-TIPS.
