The Ministry of National Security is advising the public that the Immigration Division offices located at No. 2 Knox Street, San Fernando will be closed on Friday August 7, in order to facilitate sanitisation of the premises.

In a brief statement on Friday, it said this has become necessary as a police officer attached to the Immigration Enforcement Unit, San Fernando has been identified as part of a contact trace investigation for COVID-19.

Operations at that office are expected to resume on Monday August 10.
